I just got the chills listening to this. God I miss him.
Overall the playing is outstanding throughout the show by everyone. Liberty was actually a pretty good tune in hindsight. The Stella though-Man! Overall a great performance.
One thing that ALWAYS got better through the years is the Drums/Space. Great sound and more sophistication.
Song selection is fair. Not too into, well, you know the ones.
Sound is poor for a late year, but somehow more character than the sbd's.
What happen to Jerry's tone in 94'? Sounds like an acoustic. Damn MIDI. First it was Bobby's tone to go, then Vince, then Jerry. I guess we all go deaf at 50+.

got this ticket for 4 gms
Happy b-day Jerry...opened with The Addams Family riff this night into a fabulous Picasso Moon that got everyone in the mood, then a Peggy--O from oughta this world....Stagger Lee got the heart beat up and it just got better from there. They broke off with The Music Never Stopped and i thought it really wasn`t....As the 2nd set drew near the anticipation was great, for they hadn`t played Scarlet-Fire all summer, but they threw us a curve and opened with a Victim but they weren`t going to let us down on this night...Scarlet-Fire came from nowhere outa Victim...I couldn`t stand still,it was a good one for sure. Samba in the Rain rocked the floor boards...as Watchtower brought us back from space a wonderful Stella Blue cooled our jets. But ending with a smokin` Liberty was just the ticket...for this was a b-day show not to be forgotten!

A Stagger Lee for the Ages
Of the 2 first sets up at this time, this is the clearer of the 2. Apparently, the link that has only set 2 is best for that. Anyhow, Jerry's solos on Stagger Lee are to be heard...esp. the second one...It reminds me (almost) of the Jack Straw from Syracuse University (10/21/84)....Yep, it's that good...but of course, we're in '94, so it's a different sound. Enjoy.
